Here are two versions of a pdf file of a 48 page album of high quality photos of people and events at the time of the Russian Revolution (March 1917 - roughly July 1918). This album, which consists of 48 11x14 inch pages of photos, was probably published by the Communist Party of America (CPA) or the Communist Labor Party (CLA) Russian Federation in late 1918 or early 1919. The 200 dpi 8 bit gray scale ("low res" / "screen viewing") version has a file size of 12 megabytes. It will yield quite reasonable images on one of today's (2016) computer screens. And it's small enough to download quickly, and even small enough to be sent as an attachment in today's email. However, the results of attempting to print out on paper the images in this file will be distinctly less than ideal. For that, you should download the "hi res" / "for printing" version, which consists of scans done in 600 dpi 8 bit gray scale. That version is 150 megabytes in file size. ---marty Martin H.
