DEAR COMRADE, – I must “crave indulgence,” as the phrase goes, to correct a typographical error. In my letter I remarked that I preferred legend and folk-lore in its primitive state rather than “as degraded and distorted by civilised theology into false history and ugly dogma.” The word “into” is misprinted “with” in Justice.

My point was that the old folk-lore myths, dear to so many of us, are only spoiled and degraded as metamorphosed into sham history and articles of belief in the conventional system of the Christian theology – Yours fraternally,
